The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

Martinsburg College is a member of the National Council for State Authorization and Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) www.nc-sara.org. NC-SARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. As a result of Martinsburg College’s participation in NC-SARA, the institution has authorization to offer distance learning programs in 48 states as of August 17, 2017.
