In this role, the human resource manager is responsible for recruiting, training, assessing, and rewarding employees while ensuring the organization’s compliance with various federal and state employment and labor laws. Additionally, human resource management involves the effective utilization of a business’s workforce by managing employee’s organizational activities. The Human Resources Management Certificate program, provides students with the knowledge of the key components of a human resource department and the associated skills required in this capacity. Students will participate in simulation exercises to validate the individual knowledge and skills gained throughout the program.

In order to be an effective human resource manager, students will want to develop the skills to effectively communicate with employees at all company levels. Students will want to refine individual leadership qualities and build industry knowledge. It is beneficial to practice conflict resolution negotiation skills.
